First of all, thank you so much to Melissa for her message. It means A TON! I appreciate all of your support!! I am a little scared because I haven't worked out with Dave since May 9th, and the first workout at the new gym is rapidly approaching, Saturday morning to be exact. Workouts have been part of my daily routine, but I have not been as diligent about squats, kettle bells, and push ups as I need to be. It will be interesting...
The exciting news is that the gym opens Saturday morning, and I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. There will be new equipment and new exercises to learn. I also miss the group environment. Our boot camp classes are full of some great people, and it's fun just to work out with people that are so supportive and encouraging.
Workouts have been consistent, but as I stated earlier I need to push myself more. I will say that while Dan and I were in Vegas for work last week we hiked at Red Rock Canyon and that was a beautiful experience. It truly is amazing. If you ever are in Vegas, check it out. The peace and beauty really break up the noise of the strip.
Nutrition has been borderline. In Vegas my days were great but my nights were full of wine and really good (but not good for you) food. Then I came back tired and a little depressed to the gray cloud filled sky. My thoughts were still on wine and comfort food, so Wednesday night I dived into 5 slices of pizza. That is something I haven't done for a LONG time. However, I got back on the wagon yesterday morning and I'm staying on it. The boot camp classes will help. I can't perform when I'm eating garbage.
Overall, this past week has been a little tougher than the previous week, but I got through it and I'm looking forward. There may be some exciting developments in my life that I will share with you next week.
