The past two weeks have been great! I've been working out consistently and eating healthy foods. This last Thursday my throat felt sore, and by Friday night I had a full blown cold, yesterday I did nothing, and here I am a little congested but glad that I'm almost over this thing. Thank goodness. Outside of my sickness, my health habits have been really good. My strength has been steadily improving. I'm so close to doing a pull up with no assistance. It's exciting! Just this last week I was swinging a 45lb dumbbell over my head one handed. My legs and arms are getting more defined and I'm loving it. The improvements over all make it easy to stay focused and keep on track.
Workouts are awesome. I missed yesterday's gang up due to my cold, but other than that I have not missed a day and I'm feeling strong. My short term goal in this area is to mix up my non Gravity Janes workouts a little. This time should be spent focusing on my areas that can be improved, such as thrusters, front squats, push ups, pull ups.
Nutrition has been good as well. I've been taking my lunch everyday and packing a snack. Every morning I drink my protein smoothie for breakfast. For dinner, I've been eating the main course in a small bowl and having a salad on the side so that I don't feel deprived. This routine has been working really well for me. I have been feeling lighter and more energetic. My bane is still caffeine. I'm on vacation in two weeks for a week, so maybe I'll take that time to get off the drug.
